Announcing the 2011-2012 Launch of Varner’s
Attendance Incentive Program....
Beginning the week of September 5th, Varner Elementary will launch their attendance incentive program, Varner Attendance Stars for the 2011/2012 school-year (Program facilitated by the school social worker with the support of the PTA, school counselors and attendance clerk). The purpose of the incentive program is to encourage daily and timely school attendance. The program will operate as follows:
- Each week the class with perfect attendance will receive a star that will be posted on the wall outside of their classroom. At the end of each month the class with the most stars will be selected as the “Varner Attendance Stars”. The winning class will receive a special ice cream celebration in the cafeteria during lunch! The winning class will also be highlighted during the morning and afternoon announcements.
- At the end of the school year students with perfect attendance (no absences or tardies) will have their names entered into a drawing for a Wal-Mart Gift Card!
- Program facilitator will obtain attendance numbers and determine the winner each week and month. The star will be delivered and hung by a representative from the school’s PTA!
Thank You Parents!
