Monday, May 11th....Snack 'n Read

 

Dear Parents,

 

On Monday of next week, I am planning to have a Snack ‘n Read in the morning with the children.  As I individually test their reading, the children will be reading in their favorite reading spot around the room enjoying a snack and a drink of their choice.  I will be providing the snack, but ask that you send in their drink.  The drinks should be as clear as possible, so that our floors can stay stain free and clean.  I would recommend a Sprite, a lemon-lime gator-aid, flavored water, etc, but no Hawaiian punch or red drink please. Your child may also bring a favorite pillow, blanket, or stuffed animal to enjoy that day.

We will continue our State Reports this week, continue  learning our 4th chunk of states, continue our intoduction of Cesar Chavez, work toward finishing our Narrative Piece, continue poetry, and continue practice with long division in math.

Homework for the Week:

Tuesday Evening - Spelling - Take all words and create their spelling using shapes of your choice

Thursday Evening - Cursive Sheet and to study

CRCT Update....we're chuggin' along!!!

The children are doing so well as they test!  I am so very proud of them.  We test once more on Monday...Social Studies Session.  Afterwards, their fun activity will be puzzles and games. Your child can bring in a game or puzzle to share with his/her classmates, but must be labeled with his/her name.

Again, thank you so much for the snack donations!  We had enough sent in for the children to have two snacks per day!  They are loving it!

Art Show.....

Evening of the Arts is scheduled for Thursday, April 30th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.  This is a drop in - just stop and view the art.  Our students are so creative!  Please take some time out from your schedule to see their artwork.  Families can also buy the work for $29.90. 

Snack Donations...

 

Dear Parents,

Thank you so much for the snack donations!  I can not believe how many choices we have to choice from....the children are loving it!!!!

Testing went great today!!  All of the children finished and were very happy afterwards! I am looking forward to successful testing days ahead as well!
