Math test will be Friday

  Study spelling words for test-

Study formulas for area , circumference, volume , and perimeter  - Day check up on them tomorrow-

Tapp night for parents and students May 5th

The formulas are listed on pages 107,108,109,110, and 113 of the reteach book

p.93 and p.95 are also good review pages

Next week we will do chapter 21 with metric and customary units  -Prepare for the CRCT

worksheets in LA and math tonight

don't forget- a math test on Thursday- I may wait until Friday.    Students must memorize formulas.  They are in the book but   I   gave them a sheet last week.

They will have to use these formulas on the CRCT.

Field trip tomorrow to Tapp
    Don't forget to pack your lunch if you did not sign up for a sack lunch for after the  Tapp trip.

A fund raiser sheet went on - check with your child

I am still missing one registration form.

Extra time: Practice multiplication facts

Immunizations for next year- information was sent home with students about vaccines

Wednesday- field trip to Tapp

Science projects are being assigned .  We will have a big science test next week.-

Report Cards

  Students are free to practice any of the pages in their reteach workbook.  We did not check homework yet due to human growth schedule changes.

Report Cards went home yesterday.  Contact me if you have any questions.  Field trip forms are due. The trip is this coming Wednesday.

Registration Forms are due.  If you do not turn them in byMonday, a parent will have to go to Tapp to register.

Human Growth is going well- there is alot of whispering - so be available or alert for questions or comments you may not have had before

Human Growth this week Happy St. Patrick's Day

I need all forms returned so that I know who is allowed to attend or not.  This is the parents' decision.  But parents need to fill out even if their son or daughter is not attending.  Thanks

Our new word for math is tiling.     p 436   Thursday's homework will involve tiling.

Tomorrow's homework will be practice with area  of  squares and rectangles from Lesson 2 on page 432.  Review pp433-435 if you would like to get ahead.

It would be helpful for the students to have their own graphing paper. If  possible, please purchase a small pkg.

Math quiz

    Tomorrow we have another math quiz.   Homework: Reteach Workbook   p.69 1-12  p.70 1-8   p.73 1-3  p. 82   1-6   p.85 1-6    p.95 1-2    Each of these pages has an example  students and parents can walk through  to help review for the test.  Also the same three questions we had for a morning work pop test will also be on the test.  They have to do with circumference,  the value of pi , diameter, and radius.

Tomorrow is the AR celebration.  Students may bring a snack(such as popcorn or chips) to eat individually or  for the class to share.  I have drinks.

  Students with missing work need to turn everything in by tomorrow Tomorrow is the last day of the nine weeks.

I still need forms back from a  handful of students.  See the previous blogs for the types of forms that have gone home.

Please have your reading responses ready to turn in tomorrow.
