The final days of the school year.............

Field Day:  Monday, May 18,  all day.   We need bottles of water to keep in a cooler all day and transport around the school.  This way the students can get a refreshing drink when they need it.

Awards Day:  Tuesday, May 19, 9:00-9:30 in the cafeteria.  Mrs. Jordan will be sending out invitations to the parents of students that have won an award from the physical education department.  I placed invitations in take-home folders today for those that will receive an award for citizenship.

Pajama Day: Wednesday, May 20. Wear your pajamas and celebrate the author, Marc Brown with a first grade rotation and a sleepover in the afternoon with special camp-out treats.

Thanks for all you have done to make this school year a huge success.

The end is near...........

CRCT completed and the students hung-in for the three days.  We are glad that it is behind us now!

Up coming events:

Evening with the Arts----Thursday, April 30 from 4:00-8:00.  Please remember to sign the RSVP Response Card in order for your child's art to be framed.  There is NO obligation in signing this form.  It just lets all students ' art be in a frame.  Fifteen students have already returned their slip so please let us get 100% turned in.

Walking Field Trip------Wednesday, May 6 from 8:30-10:30.  Please let me know if you are available.  I have already contacted several parents and these are the ones that I have a confirmation on at this time:  Amerson, Croft, Cusick, Jimenez 2 grandparents, LeBrun, Pasha.  Need two more in order for us to go.

Field Day-------Monday, May 18 most of the day.  More information will be coming regarding this fun day at school.  You are invited to come and watch your child do out door events.

Awards Day------Tuesday, May 19 in the morning.  The exact time will be coming later.  Four students will be recognized from our class for citizenship which was voted on by classmates.  Two students will stand up for their role as our Welcome Team.  The physical fitness awards will be mentioned at this time as well.  This will take place in the cafeteria and if your child will be recognized you will recieve an invitation.

CRCT Test Next Week

Please have your child at school on time.

The test will begin promptly at 8:00.

Students need to eat breakfast at home or be at school by 7:30 if they want to eat at school.  BREAKFAST IS IMPORTANT!!!!!!!

Books for Breakfast for the 3rd nine weeks was a huge success.  I know that all of this reading will pay-off for great comprehension on the CRCT test.  Thank you for all of your help on this endeavor.  This was the last time for Books for Breakfast.  I noticed that several parents are continuing to write down the books and times which is wonderful but it isn't going toward a specific goal.

REMINDERS:  Please send in the BROWN ENVELOPE with the REGISTRATION CARD filled out.  Make sure you write the HOSPITAL.  This registration card must be back in order for your child to be placed in a class for next year.  It is much easier to have them placed now rather than later.  If you are not sure about next year, I would suggest you send this back anyway.

EVENING WITH THE ARTS-please turn in the bottom portion so your child's art work will be framed.  There is no obligation in turning this in, we just want all the art work to be framed and in the gym on this evening.

Needed:  one more stamp for the large brown envelope or three if  you have not sent in any.  This is for that last report card and other items at the end of school.

Looking for volunteers to go on a walking field trip near the school on Wednesday, May 6.  We need at least 9 people.  Please let me know if you can walk with us.
