About The Teacher
Hi, my name is Sue Mitchell (formerly Jordan).
I graduated in 1980 from Central Missouri State University with a double
major-Elementary Physical Education and Secondary Earth Science. I taught
for one year in Kansas City, MO. We moved to Montgomery, AL where my
daughter, Lauren was born in 1984. We moved to Marietta, GA 15 months later.
I stayed home with Lauren until she started Kindergarten and I began work in 1989.
I worked at Varner as a substitute teacher the first year and a half. I finished
the second year as a Kindergarten parapro. My third year I was employed as a
half day PE parapro and half day PE teacher. Since my fourth year at Varner,
I have been employed as a full day PE teacher.
I received my masters degree in Health and Physical Education in
1995 from West Georgia State University.
Maureen Glendon has been my full time parapro since 2001.
During the summer I teach swim lessons and spend time with my grandson
Logan.
Mission For The Class
My mission in teaching physical education is to see my students being
successful and having fun being healthy and fit.
