Meet Mrs. Jordan
Hi, my name is Sue Jordan. I graduated in 1980 from Central Missouri State University with a double major-Elementary Physical Education and Secondary Earth Science. I taught for one year in Kansas City, MO. We moved to Montgomery, AL where my daughter, Lauren was born in 1984. We moved to Marietta, GA 15 months later.
I went to work in 1989, when Varner opened, as a substitute teacher the
first year and a half. I finished the second year as a Kindergarten parapro.
My third year I was employed as a half day PE parapro and half day PE
teacher. Since my fourth year at Varner, I have been employed as a full day
PE teacher. I received my masters degree in Health and Physical Education in
1995 from West Georgia State University.
My Parapro is Maureen Glendon. She has been with me off and on
for the last five years.
I enjoy working with the Varner students in extracurricular activities such
as Safety Patrol and Science Olympiad. I also enjoy working the ASP desk.
During the summer months, I enjoy being the assistant coach of my
subdivision swim team and teaching swimming lessons.
