Hi everyone! I am so sorry for not blogging lately. Christmas was that busy time and I guess I just stayed busy. :) I will soon be adding practice tests on the CRCT website. Please begin practicing if you can a little each day. I should have the majority of the tests added by next week. If you have lost your student ID number or need that sheet I gave you at conference time, please send me a note and I will be happy to give you another instruction sheet with their ID number.

~ We will review the parts of a letter and write a letter to someone famous. Thank you Gilly’s aunt for mailing the letters for us. J
~ Our field trip to the history center was fun and very exciting. The students have been asking to make puppets and write a storyboard just like Jim Henson did. We will begin this later on in the week. Our imaginations will run wild. J
Science -
~ We will continue to learn the sources of energy and how they are used. First, we will review sources of light and then explore heat and motion. This will lead us to learning more about forces which include pushes, pulls, wind, gravity, magnetism, water, and friction.

Hello! I hope everyone is rested and had a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving and fun times with their family. I did and I was also able to get a great start on shopping for Christmas. We will have fun this month and we will also learn a great deal as well. This 9 weeks is challenging in math and we must keep going and work hard. The students are doing great with regrouping and although we will review and incorporate this skill often, please give them a problem in addition and subtraction every now and then to keep this skill ongoing. I also feel that most of the students are doing well with money and we will need practice with this as well. We will be making change and counting bigger bills this week. I have been teaching time in between and they seem to understand the concept pretty good. Geometry will be our last focus for this 9 weeks. There are major skills and many to learn for this 9 weeks and I am so proud of the students at how great they are doing. I want to thank you so much for all of your support and help. YOU make a huge difference in their success.
