I just want to take a moment to remind parents that children may bring water bottles to keep on their desks during the day and then take home each day, or fill during the day if they choose.
Also, they may have icecream, power drinks, and chips if you write me and/or the lunchroom or send change with them. I'd prefer that they not get power drinks, however...they need to have those at home...

The following is my first attempt to "upload" something onto my "blog" post...I'm uploading the newsletter that I'm going to try sending through the blogs. I will also send a "hardcopy" since there are some of you that do not use or like to use computers. Some of the information is repeated, but I'm trying to get a routine started here, so please be patient with me as I learn more about blogging and uploading...haha...write me and let me know what you think. Let's keep in contact...this will be a great way for me to get news to you when I've forgotten to tell you something; and it will help other parents possibly get answers to questions they have. Just a reminder that if you do not want your child to use his/her lunch account money to buy ice cream, chips, or energy drinks, you will need to write me or write/call the lunchroom manager and clear it with her unless you already signed the yellow card in the Cobb County folder of Parent Notification letters you received and signed at Meet and Greet.

Reminders:
-Parent Orientation for K-2 is Tuesday night, September 4th at 6:30. I hope you can come. I will be going over my program and let you know some important information about our classroom.
-Since it is difficult to let the children know about last-minute changes at the end of the day, the school policy has now changed. The latest changes you can call in and make are no later than 1:45 any day from now on. Please call or fax any critical changes before 1:45.
-As more safety policies are necessary and more children are becoming car riders, if your child is to be a car rider, (and this is not a regular mode of transportation for your child), you will need to put a large sign in your vehicle front window to announce who you are picking up. If there is no sign, you will need to come inside and check your child out.
-Since the I am not able to check phone messages daily because of so many staff members, so few phone lines, and so little time, I prefer that you send me a message through your child's agenda. I do check my email constantly throughout the day, however.
