It sounds like everyone had a wonderful Christmas break! The kids shared some of their excitement and adventures with each other during snack time today. We put them right to work, though, with pre-tests, a narrative writing assignment, and reading assessments. They jumped right on the wagon with a minimum of complaining. :)
Here are some updates:
RAH (Read at Home) We have increased the minutes the children should read each evening to 25. This is a total of 125 words per week. Their new reading logs will come home tomorrow.
MULTIPLICATION CELEBRATION: The children will have a timed test tomorrow (Wed.) on the basic facts. In order to be considered "fluent," the children should have a score of 80%. We will celebrate with ice cream sundaes, those children who passed the individual tests and those that may have not, but scored an 80% on Thursday during lunch.
