We had a very successful conference week. Mrs. Landmon and I enjoyed talking to each one of you to share what we know about your child's progress. We always learn so much about your child which often helps us to know how to help them more in the classroom. We appreciate your time and support.
Your child has a pink notice in their Friday folders this week explaining a special salute to United Way next week. We will be raising money to help people in our community. On Monday, they can pay one dollar and dress up as a favorite storybook character. On Wednesday, they can pay an dollar and dress in their dressiest clothes. The girls asked if they could dress up in a flower girl dress. I guess so if that's your fanciest clothes! For some reason, I didn't get any questions from the boys. On Friday, the kids can dress in their favorite sports team shirt. There is also a "Pennies War" that will go on between the grade levels. The fliler explains it all.
All of the children have passed their 0s, 1s, 2s, and 10s! Our ice cream sundaes are really getting some color. Please make sure you check out our new link to the right, "What are we Learning This Week?" It will also let you know about any quizzes or tests that are coming up.
If you have not turned in your child's permission slip for the Vulcan Rock Quarry, please do. Our trip is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 14.
Save the date for Wednesday, November 16. We will have our annual Thanksgiving Feast in the cafeteria. The children love it when someone from their family is able to join them. Afterwards, you may come to the room, as the children will have a gift from their hearts for you.
Have a great weekend.
