We are all relieved that testing is over. The students did a great job! We are looking forward to the upcoming week.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the Fall Festival on Saturday! There will be lots of fun, games, and food. Our Fall Festival invites the feeling of Autumn and its festivities. The children made fall leaf collages and wrote poetry about the season. Many children wrote spooky stories based on the drawings of Harris Burdick. You will be able to check these out on our Wall of Fame when you come to conferences.
We will be having a Social Studies test on Wednesday. The children will bring home a study guide on Monday, and we will review in class on Tuesday.
In writing, we will be working on Response to Literature and writing prompts. We will begin multiplication in math. You can expect information on this next week. We have a fun incentive to encourage the children to memorize their facts. We are also going to begin a unit on economy. Next week's spelling words are homophones, so they will need to know the meanings and use them correctly in sentences.
Tomorrow promises to be a beautiful day. See you at the festival!
