Growth & Development class is this Thursday and Friday. Thursday: Boys- 9:15-10:15AM Girls 12:20-1:20 PM. Friday: Boys- 1:00-2:00PM Girls 10:00-10:30AM & 11:30-12:00PM This will be a time that students may come home with lots of questions on their mind. I hope you will be able to find time to speak with your children about this experience and give them an opportunity to discuss any questions they may have. I think we all remember this classroom experience as uncomfortable, embarassing, but very informative... please help make it a positive experience. :)
Dear Parents,
There are 3 major forms that have gone home this week that we need returned. Many students already have brought them in already. Just to make you more aware, they are:
1. Middle School Registration (green) (Due ASAP)
2. Tapp Middle School field trip permission form (Due by March 25)
3. Growth & Development permission form (Due March 18)
Check with your child to see if yours have been returned or if they are still smashed at the bottom of their book bags :)
Thanks for your support,
Mr. B
Here is the review sheet for Friday's Science Test. Students have been given a paper copy today so they can prepare for the next couple days. Use the Powerpoint game below to help them review!
Parents,
As we begin the approach and preparation for the CRCT, here's some tips to help your student prepare.
1. As them questions about what they are reading after they complete their 25 minutes
2. Bring home the math book on the weekends (or during the week) and use the chapter review sections to study past lessons/concepts.
3. Purchase a CRCT review workbook for reading or math at a store like Schoolbox, etc. **Make sure they have the updated 2007-2008 GPS curriculum and not the past QCC standards**
4. Use the CRCT website www.georgiaoas.org along with your student's personal log in to try provided practice tests.
5. Homework. All concepts from now until the CRCT that are taught in class and assigned as homework will be on the CRCT. Keep up the hard work and ask questions!
More to come... but these should get you started. The more you do the better prepared you are. We want students to be confident, not scared :)
